Nevaeh Cares
We ensure that all of our staff members are adequately trained before starting with us in areas such as Safeguarding Children, Domestic Abuse, Child Sexual and Criminal Exploitation.
Whilst working with us, all staff will be encouraged to keep key training up to date and participate in further training to support them in advancing their knowledge and expand on their skills and practice. All staff have regular supervision sessions and guidance and are able to approach and communicate with the Nevaeh management team regularly.
Safer recruitment is extremely important to us at Nevaeh Homes as it ensures that all of our staff and volunteers are suitable to work with young people. Nevaeh Homes aims to create a safe environment for young people, and to prevent unsuitable people from being employed by us
Nevaeh carries out a FULL enhanced DBS check before a staff member is able to begin supporting our young people
Nevaeh Collaborates
Nevaeh staff will keep detailed daily logs and will record all sightings, daily contact and details of all engagement sessions with young people
We deliver an intensive Precious Programme that centres on healthy and safe relationships, grooming, sexual exploitation, self-worth and confidence and self-esteem building and the intensive Treasured Programme that focusses on criminal grooming and exploitation, the criminal justice system.
Updates of these sessions will be sent over to the young person’s social worker so that they are kept up to date on progress and are also involved in risk assessing each young person and being able to appropriately place them in the future once they move on.
We provide a life skills booklet that we can work through with the young people to evidence all of their hard work whilst being with us and all of this information will be sent over to the Social workers to keep them up to date
